The town of Hamelin was a beautiful town, until rats were everywhere, 1 million and 2 of rats. Then the townspeople got angry and they marched to the mayor and they demanded the Mayor to do something about it. Suddenly a strange figure appeared on the street playing a tune with his Pied Piper. The Mayor promised the Pied Piper that he will give him a 100 guilders if he can get rid of the rats. The Pied Piper played his tune and all the rats followed him and fall into the river. The Mayor didn’t keep his promise, so the Pied Piper played his tune again and all the children follow him into a dark cave. The parents ended up paying the Pied Piper the 100 guilders and got their children back. The lesson from this story is to always keep your promise.
