King Midas was a kind man, but he wanted to be the richest king in the whole world. A wizard came to thank King Midas for his good deed, and granted him one wish. So the king wished for when he touches anything it will turn to gold. The King was very happy until he was hungry that he realises that he can not eat or drink. His daughter wanted to hug his dad but he couldn’t touch her because she will turn to gold. Then he asked the wizard to take away the wish, he realised what was important to him.

Shanti‘s Grandma and mother were preparing food for the Onam special parade‘s. Her Grandpa already pass away, and left his two elephants, Raja and Rani to Grandma. In order look after the elephants, Rani and Raja can be hired. Hari the elephant keeper and sometimes Shanti help looked after the elephant. Shanti has a special friendship with Rani. They were hired by some important people for the parade. Everybody dress up and put on their best Sari. The parade started and everyone was excited, Rani and Raja lead the parade carrying the important men. When Rani saw Shanti by the street she stop and walked towards her. The people around were afraid then started to moved back. Rani put her trunks around Shanti and lifted her up and put her with the important people. It was the best festival parade in Onam and everybody was happy.

My Task, The Selfish Crocodile

The selfish Crocodile lives in the deep forest near the river. When other animals come closer to the river, he yelled at them to stay away from my river. If you come in, I’ll eat you all. One day the Crocodile was in so much pain and he cried so loud that all the animals can hear his crying. No one knows what’s happening or help him. Until a brave mouse came to help and pull out his bad tooth and  take care of the pain.

Our ears, tells our brain which way the sound are coming from and head turns toward where the sounds come from. Using echoes to look for places are called echolocation. 

Lots of animals can hear sound that us human can’t hear. Frogs have ears inside their bodies. Fish do not have ears but they can still hear in the water. Grasshopper has ears on its body.

My name is Captain Red, I love exploring and finding all kind of treasures. I have my own boat that helps me a lots with crossing different Islands. My dog’s name is Biscuit, he goes everywhere with me, he’s my best friend.

Umbrella was first Invented from China back in 3000 years ago. Made from bamboo and rice paper and only important people used them. Nowadays umbrellas made from oil silk or cotton and anybody can use them.

What is a fish? Whales and Dolphins are Mammal, they are not fish.They do not have scales and gills, they have to come up the surface to breathe air into it’s lungs. Fish have scales, gills and fins like the sharks. Sharks are fish.

Did you know, adult cats have 30 teeth. Cats are nocturnal which means they move about night.

Crabs don’t have bones like we do. Most crabs live in the sea or seashore, some live on land or freshwater. The female crab held their eggs until they hatch. Not all animals called crabs are true crabs.

Many brightly coloured animals on land and in the sea, uses their colours to help them hide like a camouflage. Warn enemies to stay away, attract other animals and show them that they are dangerous.

There are 3 Main Types of Clouds!

1. The cloud that look like sheets across the sky are called Stratus clouds.
2. Cumulus clouds often mean fine weather.

3. Cirrus clouds form so high in the sky, that they are made of ice crystals instead of water drops.

It was a beautiful sunny day at the Beach for Peter and his family. Peter asked his dad if he could help him swim in the water. The water was deep, for safety Peter had to wear life jacket. His brother Josh was making a sand castle with his mom’s best friend and daughter Sally. His mom May, is sun bathing and reading her book and my sister Jelly is playing with our dog, Juju not far from my Mom. We had so much fun and stayed for a long time at the beach.

Did you know that us Human, animals, insects, plants and some fish we all have one thing in common? Yes, we all need air to survive. Us human and animals have Lungs that helps us to breath through out our nose. Snakes have two Lungs and plants breathe on little holes on their leafs.

My name is Jarryd, when I was just a little cub, both my parents and my tribe were attacked and killed by Hunters. I was the only one who survived. I always dream that one day, I will grow up to be big and strong that I won’t be afraid of anything or anyone. In the end I did, and live happily ever after.

Imagine if you were given three wishes? My first wish will be a big house, and 8 bedrooms for each of us, and some for guests. My second wish is my own game room with lots of different games. My third wish is COVID-19 to go away forever so I can go back to School.
